Tourism Exchange helps to secure Cayman Islands’ position as industry leader
As experts in land investments in the Cayman Islands, one area of due diligence Crown World (http://www.crownworld.com/) is required to carry out is assessing the state of the Islands’ tourism. Anyone investing in Caribbean land will be looking for a booming tourism market given the effect it has on potential real estate rental yield and capital appreciation. The Cayman Islands Tourism Exchange (CITE) forum is the latest in a series of events which helps to secure the Islands’ position as a tourism leader in the Caribbean.
The tourism market in the Caribbean is highly competitive, with businesses having to compete on an international level. In order to say ahead of the curve, tourism has to move with the times, which is exactly what the Cayman Islands are ensuring with the Cayman Tourism Association’s Tourism Exchange forum, taking place on Grand Cayman on Wednesday 2nd May until Friday 4th May, 2012.
Speaking to the Cayman27 news service, Executive Director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, Jane van der Bol, explained that the forum was “an opportunity to bring wholesalers throughout the world into Cayman to meet with our suppliers. Prior to that event...we usually have some professional development courses for CITE members and the locals.” During the courses, professional speakers have been sharing tips on how to harness social media, how to understand and adapt restaurant trends, how to improve profits and increase sales, as well as giving advice on marketing and management practices.
The CITE forum will also allow Cayman’s tourism businesses to meet with leading international wholesalers such as Expedia, Travelocity and BookIt.com to find out how leveraging their products can help to significantly boost tourism sales. While on the Islands, the wholesalers will be visiting Cayman’s main attractions in order to appreciate its tourism potential firsthand and be better equipped to sell tourism to Cayman via their websites.
